LEP "Lights the Night"

Each year, Lou-Evil Psycles supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Light the Night" Walk
. The 2009 walk was our fourth year of supporting research to find a cure for Leukemia & Lymphoma. This is a project that is very close to our hearts as several LEP Members have lost friends and family to various forms of cancer. At the beginning of 2009, we lost a wonderful friend and honorary member, William “T-Bone” Summers.
The Light the Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's evening walk and fundraising event. It is the nation's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost. The event is held annually nationwide and consists of thousands of supporters gathering after sunset and walking with illuminated balloons to "Light the Night".
Events like this help fund The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and treatments for other types of cancer, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. These treatments have helped patients live better, longer lives. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving quality of life.
Thanks to donations from family and friends, Team Lou-Evil was able to raise over $1,000 this past October!!
